Hey everyone! I'm Nour — I work with data for a living and pull espresso at home every morning (sometimes at night too). I built Crema because I got tired of forgetting what worked. Every new bag meant starting from scratch — what grind did I use? What ratio? How did it taste as a latte vs straight espresso? I tried Notes, spreadsheets, even writing on the bag. Nothing stuck. So I built what I actually wanted: a simple journal where you log your beans, track your dial-in, rate drinks by type, and the app suggests where to start your grind next time based on your gear.
A few things that make it different: 📦 Collect your bags — every bag gets a page. Roaster, origin, roast level, tasting notes, a photo. Like a little coffee library you actually keep
☕ Rate by drink type — because that Ethiopian natural that's incredible as an iced americano might be average as a cappuccino. Rate them separately
🎯 Dial in your grind — dose, yield, ratio, time, grind setting. Log every attempt until you nail it
📊 Watch your analytics grow — best bags, total spent, price per shot, average rating, grind sweet spot by drink type. The kind of stuff you don't notice until you see it all together
