Crates
your saved content knows you better than Google does
Search red sneakers, Google shows you red sneakers. Crates shows you Jordan 4s, because it knows who you are. Not because "people like you liked." Crates is your personal internet; learning from what you save to how you browse. It grows with you. Surfacing the right thing at the right moment, remembering what you moved on from and anticipating what you'll dive into next. Getting sharper every session Say goodbye to bookmark managers and search engines. Finally, an internet that knows you.
Hey PH 👋 I'm James, co-founder and CEO of Crates. What started as a way to keep my saved links, articles, and workout videos in one place grew into something I didn't expect. Instead of jumping from app to app or digging through a graveyard of old tabs, Crates keeps my space current and tailors my internet to who I am today, not who I was six months ago.
I had the realization one night, restless and full of ideas, that my behaviors are patterns. They could and should build towards something. By morning, I'd derived two unique algorithmic formulas that now run our engine. This launch doesn't mean done and this isn't the end. This is only the beginning.
Here, let me introduce you to Crates.
What would a personalized internet mean to you? Make a Crate 📦, let's find out together.
Hi, friends 🙋🏽♀️. Anna here, co-founder and CPO of Crates.
Honest moment, I have a fragrance collection my friends think is excessive, and a shoe habit I justify as “just looking.” I search and save things that gives me something interesting to look forward to, to discuss with my friends (and Claude because we’re totally friends.)
That’s actually why this product exists for me personally. Not as a founder, but as a user. The internet never reflected who I actually am. It reflects who an algorithm thinks I am based on what everyone else is doing.
Crates is the first time the internet has ever felt like mine. My things, my algorithm, my interests.
What do you collect? Give it a space in Crates 📦

Who hunted Crates?
Crates was hunted by James Jarrett. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
