CrabTap is a shared loyalty platform for local businesses. Print one QR code, offer stamp cards, points, and promotions, no app to build. Most loyalty tools force a choice: build a costly native app nobody downloads, or pay for infrastructure sized for big chains. CrabTap skips both. Customers get one account and one QR code across every participating venue instead of a separate card per shop. Owners get a fast scan-and-reward flow, plus promotion tools, set up in a day.
Hey everyone! 👋
I built CrabTap after watching local business owners get stuck choosing between two bad options: building a native app that costs a fortune and nobody downloads for a coffee shop, or paying for a loyalty platform designed for big chains with way more infrastructure than a single-location venue actually needs.
The idea was simple: what if one QR code could replace every loyalty card a customer carries, and setting it up for a venue took a day instead of a dev sprint? CrabTap runs as a PWA, so there's no app store, no download friction, and nothing extra for owners to maintain.
Along the way, the biggest shift in my thinking was realizing customers don't want another app, they want fewer things to manage. So the whole product is built around one account and one QR code working everywhere, while owners still get real tools: stamps, points, redeemable rewards, and simple promotions to bring people back.
Would love to hear what you think, especially if you've run a loyalty program before and know the pain points firsthand!
