Covil Sprite Pipeline
Organize, align, preview and export sprite-sheet animations
A Windows desktop tool for turning regular or messy sprite sheets into organized, aligned and export-ready animation assets. Detect sprites, normalize scale, adjust pivots and timing, preview animations, then export PNGs, sheets, atlases, JSON or ZIP.
Hi Product Hunt!
Covil Sprite Pipeline started as an internal tool for a game I’m developing.
I was generating and working with 2D sprite sheets where the individual frames weren’t always perfectly aligned, scaled or organized. What should have been a simple production step kept turning into manual cleanup.
So I built a local tool for myself.
It detects and organizes regular or irregular sprite sheets, lets me normalize character scale, adjust roots/pivots and frame timing, compare animation frames, preview the result and export the final assets as PNG, normalized sheets, atlases, JSON, ZIP and optional WebP.
Once the internal version became useful enough, I decided to polish it into a standalone Windows app instead of leaving it buried inside one game project.
It’s a portable desktop application:
- Windows 10/11 x64
- no installation
- works offline
- English + Brazilian Portuguese
- $4.99 one-time
I’m especially interested in feedback from developers and artists who already work with 2D sprite sheets: which parts of this workflow usually waste the most time for you?
Thanks for taking a look.
