Cove is a visual workspace for thinking with AI. Now you can create personalized, interactive tools right in your Cove spaces to help on all your projects. Because sometimes the answer you need from AI isn’t just text, it’s an interactive experience.
I'm Andy Szybalski, designer/engineer who previously helped bring you Google Maps and Uber Eats. Six months ago on Product Hunt, we launched Cove, a visual workspace where humans and AI work together. We built Cove because single-threaded chat products make it awkward to establish a shared understanding with AI and to iterate on ideas over time. Cove lets you collaborate more naturally with AI, directly editing and building upon AI-generated ideas within a shared context.
We’ve been thrilled to see Product Hunters embracing Cove for planning travel, finding a new job, starting a business, and more, and I’m excited to be back on Product Hunt to announce the next big step in our vision:
⭐ Introducing AI Apps
Cove can now build AI Apps just in time, just for you. This is different from the vibecoding tools you may have used. Here’s how Cove apps are special:
Cove suggests apps just for you as a natural part of your workflow. It’s not about building the next blockbuster app, it’s about giving you the right tool in the moment.
Apps live in your Cove workspace and are context aware—they can access PDFs, web pages, and other information you’ve added and transform them into interactive tools
AI is first class, so apps can do web research on your behalf, generate structured data on demand, and generate content, no API keys needed
Multiplayer collaboration and storage is built in to the Cove runtime, so you can use them with your team in real time
We believe that the best answer to many questions isn’t text, it’s an interactive experience.
Imagine:
You are a student who has uploaded your class materials to Cove. Cove can build flash cards to help you get ready for the upcoming exam.
You own a dog grooming business and are planning your staffing levels. Cove can create a simulator to help you understand how grooming speed impacts customer wait times.
You are a social media manager launching a new energy drink. Cove can make an app to rewrite social media posts to match your brand voice
You are preparing for a trip to Korea. Cove can make a customized audio tool to help you improve your comprehension of spoken Korean phrases.
You are planning a potluck and want to make sure your guests don’t all bring the same dish. Cove can make a multiplayer app to help them co-create a menu, suggesting dishes that go well together.
You are researching ways to help your child calm down before bedtime. Cove can customize an app to teach breathing exercises to your future astronaut.
Not sure what you need? Start with a simple idea like "hot sauce finder," and as your thinking evolves, the app evolves with you. Or visit our App Gallery to discover, use, and extend apps from our growing community.
🚀 Try it now
You can try making apps with Cove for free starting today. And for a limited time, Product Hunt users can use the code PH50 to get 50% off a Plus plan for the first 3 months—with unlimited AI credits to build apps.
At Cove, we are on a long term journey to rethink how people interact with computers. We think in the future, we think the line between “using apps” and “building apps” will disappear, as software is dynamically generated to fit your needs at the moment.
Whatever your project, big or small, we hope that you’ll try out Cove today and see how AI apps can help you think brilliantly.
I appreciate the emphasis on collaborative workflows. The real-time Q&A tool for team meetings that Stephen mentioned could be a game-changer for remote teams. It's all about having the right contextual information available when you need it most. I have a quick question: how do you balance creating highly contextual tools while ensuring sensitive information is properly safeguarded?
Congrats on the launch, Cove team! 🎉 Love the concept of turning AI into interactive tools—not just text. The design is super clean too.
So cool. I made an app which allows you to check SF parking regulations :)
Cove's concept of allowing real-time collaboration and the ability to create context-aware, dynamic apps on the fly is incredibly exciting! It seems like a perfect tool for anyone needing flexible, personalized solutions without complex setup. How do you see Cove handling larger-scale projects or teams working together on more intricate tasks—does it maintain the same intuitive flow?
Cove feels like a refreshing step forward from linear chat interfaces, especially for deeper creative work. Love how it brings structure and clarity to human-AI collaboration without getting in the way.
