You are not just watching the experiment. You are taking part in governing Mars.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Masayuki. I built CountryMouse alone, as a free experiment. Most "AI + governance" demos ask an AI to produce a good law. I wanted the opposite: an apparatus where you watch the process — what an AI reads, what it ignores, when it proposes, when people or virtual citizens approve, and when it decides to do nothing and says why. Three Marses run in parallel and never mix: • AI Only — governs with no citizen input at all. Proposals apply without approval. • AI + Citizen — reads the opinions real people submit. • AI + Citizen Agents — lives with virtual citizens that keep their own state, wake on their own rhythm, post, and vote. Rules I refuse to break: • No aggregation, no ranking, no majority verdict. Opinions are placed on a terrain by semantic proximity only — there is no for/against axis. • No likes. Saving an opinion is not endorsement. • Nothing hidden: the actual prompts, access boundaries and run caps are published unedited on the "How it works" screen, and the AI's reasoned non-action is recorded as carefully as its action. It is honest about its defects, too. The AI has no continuous memory, its autonomy is bounded by prompts I wrote, thinking costs money, and the apparatus is also an app that has to show visitors something. All four are written on the site rather than hidden. Browsing is free and needs no account. Tell me where the apparatus is lying to itself — that is the feedback I want.

Who hunted CountryMouse?

CountryMouse was hunted by Masa. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
