I'm excited to introduce you to Cornuvotia, a unique collaborative writing platform that I've been working on, and is now in early access! What is Cornuvotia? Cornuvotia is a platform where you can both start and continue stories in a highly interactive and democratic way. Here’s what sets it apart: 1. Continue Stories: Submit your suggestions for story continuations within a fixed time frame. Vote on the best continuation, which then becomes the next part of the story. The cycle repeats, allowing the story to evolve collaboratively. 2. Start Stories: Define story parameters such as duration of the writing and voting cycle, number of cycles, word limits, genre days, and more. Set the initial direction and watch as the community takes it forward. 3. Branching Stories: Stories can split based on voting outcomes, creating branches that can be developed separately. This feature allows for multiple narrative paths, enriching the storytelling experience. Other Exciting Features: Browse and Search: Easily find stories that interest you. Levels and Achievements: Earn rewards for participation, whether you’re writing or voting. Leaderboards: See who the top contributors are. Story Creation Guide: Get help with starting new stories. Our flexible story creation parameters encourage creativity, allowing for various formats like weekly flash fiction, Q&A cycles, and more. But why? I've always enjoyed creative writing and wanted to combine it with a social element (inspired by a childhood game). I hope the platform gives others and myself inspiration, a way to write something quickly and the opportunity to challenge and improve through the competitive element. Early Access I don't know any writing enthusiasts so I am very happy about any writing contribution to the platform :) This is a hobby project so everything is a bit rough around the edges and even core functionality and services might crash ;) While there are no specific perks, early access users will have significant influence on the development of the platform. I love this! We do this for date night sometimes or when we're on a long train ride - one person writes part of the story then another continues it. Something we do is only reveal the last line of the previous passage - in case that is interesting to you! Fun project!
What an incredibly cool platform - congrats @bl4ckwind! I used to really enjoy reading what people would write over on r/WritingPrompts and wonder what would happen if others continued the story and there was some formal continuation based votes - I guess that's Cornuvotia! It would be awesome to create purchasable print version of the stories when they're complete - could be a way to monetize! In any case, well done - I've signed up :)
