Hey everyone! Handuo here, on behalf of our team. We've been preparing for this launch since a couple of months ago, but we have been updating our product constantly, always thinking it was not ready to launch. So we rescheduled the launch date again and again until we confused ourselves. Today’s launch was actually an accident. We were about to reschedule it again but messed up the timezone... However, it looks like a happy one with all your support and comments! Copus started as a collaborative science fiction project two years ago. As creators ourselves who had so much fun being inspired and inspiring others, we found that collaboratively created works do not have a proper place to be displayed. Furthermore, there is no fair way to monetize them because everything is a remix. So we set out to create a product to solve our own problem. We eventually discovered that the entire Internet is a collaboratively creative piece with no proper content connection and monetization solution. In the meantime, we evolved into Copus and Fractopus (the protocol behind it, which you can find at https://www.fractopus.net/). The idea of Copus and Fractopus is to foster an "inspiration network" where content creators can share exposure and earnings with each other, so they can be free from platform gating and cuts. Everyone becomes the exposure provider for all of their branch pieces, while the source pieces get rewarded for being inspiring. Content consumers will be able to trace the inspiration thread and understand where each piece of content comes from. In this way, we connect fragmented information on the Internet to create connected knowledge. While we understand that onboarding people to a new platform is tough, next we’ll create a browser extension so that content published on any platform can connect into our network. At the same time, we designed an economic system to power and own the network in a decentralized way, so we don't become the gatekeeper that we set out to bypass. After all, thank you so much for your support. We’ll launch again soon with new designs and features. If you have any thoughts about our product, feel free to drop me an email at [email protected]. Thank you! Handuo & S31 Labs Team

Looks great, seems like an interesting idea. On that note, I think using a video to explain what the site does would be helpful... I get that there's a inspiration component, a sharing component but then a fee and DApp component? How does that work?

KCopus introduces a refreshing concept in the creator economy by fostering a collaborative environment where creators can actively support one another. The idea of sharing future revenue in exchange for exposure creates a symbiotic relationship that benefits all parties involved, encouraging creators to highlight and engage with each other’s work. Congratulations on the launch!

Fantastic launch! One idea to enhance this inspiration network could be introducing a mentorship feature, where experienced creators can offer guidance to newer members in exchange for a share of their future earnings. This would help newcomers grow and create a strong community and mutual support. Looking forward to seeing how the platform evolves

Congratulations on the launch, @handuo and team! I really like this approach to creator collaboration.

Congrats on the launch. This not only fosters a more collaborative creative environment but also brings fairness and transparency to the process of content creation. It's a refreshing take on enabling creators to build on each other's work while maintaining transparency and respect for original content. Great job to the team!

Well done. Love the idea of an inspiration network where creators can share exposure and earnings while maintaining a fair and transparent connection to their sources. Also I'm impressive to see how your team is addressing the challenge of content fragmentation and platform gating. Congrats on the launch!

This sounds like a unique approach to creator collaboration, Handuo! Looking forward to seeing how it evolves!

Congrats on the launch! That sounds great! But I want to know how you ensure that the uploaded works are original and there will be no copyright issues.

Congrats on the accidental launch, @handuo! It's awesome to see Copus and Fractopus coming to life after all the iteration. Love the idea of an inspiration network that enables creators to monetize and support each other:)Cheers!

Excited to see Copus launching! 🎉 This concept of an inspiration network is a game-changer for creators. Collaboratively sharing exposure and earnings sounds like a perfect way to build a supportive community. Can't wait to see how Fractopus evolves and connects the content ecosystem! Keep up the great work

Congrats on the launch! The idea of an “inspiration network” is really exciting. Looking forward to seeing how Copus and Fractopus evolve, especially with the upcoming browser extension. Best of luck and thanks for sharing!

This new platform seems promising but I'm a bit skeptical about how it will manage the balance between exposure and revenue-sharing, decentralized systems can be tricky to navigate and maintain, it could end up complicating things for content creators. Also, the idea of content addressing each other as "sources" might sound cool but can easily lead to overwhelming amount of interconnected links and references, making it hard for users to follow a clear path. The concept of ownership by the creators and supporters sounds nice, but I'm curious if it will actually play out effectively in the long run, with possible disputes over content rights and revenue sharing👀

This new "mindmap" idea could shake things up or it could be another fancy tool nobody ends up using, it's a tough call but if the creators can really get people onboard and generate some buzz it might be worth it, but if not, it could easily flop, only time will tell 👀

Looks cool, but a bit skeptical here, how do you make sure content creators really own the platform, what's stopping big companies from taking over eventually, also, does it really encourage meaningful connections or just link dumping, hope you guys have a solid plan for quality control, would love to hear more

I'm skeptical about this whole decentralized publishing platform thing, it sounds cool on paper but how many people will actually use it, plus the idea of content addressing each other as sources seems super confusing, hope it doesn't end up being another overhyped flop, good luck though
