Merge, split, compress, sign and convert PDFs right in your browser. Your files never leave your device — every tool runs 100% client-side with WebAssembly. No uploads, no sign-up, no servers, free forever. Open source (AGPL-3.0).
Hi PH.
I built CoolPDF after watching a colleague upload our company's draft contract to an online merger. Two pages needed, the whole contract uploaded.
The idea is simple: every online PDF tool asks you to upload your file first. CoolPDF does the opposite — it brings the processing to your file. All 20 tools (merge, split, compress, sign, HEIC → PDF, PDF → Markdown and more) run 100% in your browser via WebAssembly. There is no backend at all.
And you don't have to take our word for it: load a page, switch off your Wi-Fi, and every tool still works. Or open DevTools → Network and watch zero file bytes go out. The whole codebase is open source (AGPL-3.0): https://github.com/Jimsnote/coolpdf
Would love your feedback — and tell us which tool we should build next!

Who hunted CoolPDF?
CoolPDF was hunted by Zhang Jim. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
