AI recipes grounded in real cooking references for more reliable quantities. Ever followed an GPT-generated recipe exactly, only to wonder halfway through why it called for 800 g of cheese for four people? I built CookWing so that I can finally have an AI chef that actually checks the correct quantities in real references instead of hallucinating.

Hey PH! Ever followed an GPT-generated recipe exactly, only to wonder halfway through why it called for 800 g of cheese for four people? I built CookWing because I was using ChatGPT for recipes almost every day, but there would always be one of the ingredients that would have incorrect quantities or hallucinated. LLMs are great at creating ideas, substitutions, and variations, but it can also make up proportions that simply don’t work. Before CookWing builds your recipe, it looks for a real reference recipe from the dish’s culinary tradition and uses it to anchor the ingredient quantities. In the web, in the original language. Ask for lasagna? The quantities are grounded in an Italian reference recipe. Japanese curry? Japanese references. Korean jjigae, French gratin, Thai curry—the same principle applies.
