I built Contentify because I was tired of spending entire weekends on a single YouTube video.
I had a channel idea I was genuinely excited about — documentary content on history, finance, science. Topics I love. But the production cycle was destroying me. 20-40 hours per video, just to get something upload-ready. I have a full-time job. I don't have 40 hours.
I tried every AI video tool I could find. They all had the same problem: built for marketing content, not documentary content. The footage was generic, the scripts sounded like Wikipedia, the voiceover quality was robotic.
So I did what any developer does when they can't find the tool they need — I built it myself.
Six months later, Contentify generates full 1080p documentary videos from a single topic input. Script, images matched per paragraph, voiceover, assembled video. The whole thing costs me about $0.05 per video to run.
I'm launching today as a solo founder from Argentina with a $100/month marketing budget and zero paid users. If that's not a Product Hunt origin story I don't know what is.
