We kept seeing the same problem: online businesses wanting to offer payments and accounts inside their own product, but the only paths were getting their own financial licence (slow, expensive, heavily regulated) or stitching together third-party tools that broke the user experience and pushed customers off-platform.
So we built ConnectPay as embedded finance you actually own end to end. One set of APIs gives you IBAN accounts, SEPA and SWIFT payments, cards, currency exchange, and KYC/AML compliance, all running under our EU EMI licence, so your users never have to leave your platform and you don't have to become a bank.
The hardest part was the balance between compliance and experience. Regulated finance usually means friction, but we wanted onboarding measured in seconds, not days, while still meeting strict EU standards. Getting both took years of work on the infrastructure and the licensing side.
