Honestly it is such a useful piece of software to have! I use it to reduce file sizes on Instagram Reels content as well as videos for internal work usage that go on Google Drive.
The software is pretty straightforward and is easy to learn; I had issues setting it up at first because of a few settings I could not figure out. Hieu was super kind to get on a Zoom call to help me figure out the issue with my MacOS settings.
I highly recommend getting CompressX if you want to save some extra space on videos; the compressed video does not look compromised from what I have tested (phone video and screen recordings).

Usually, Handbrake is my video converter app of choice, but CompressX is also very cool! For 99% of the videos I upload on the Internet today, I am using CompressX! Well done!
Actually useful. If i didn't know how to use the terminal and homebrew myself i'd keep using it, but great to recommend to people that don't work!
Before this app I would use complicated tools like Handbrake. Even Permute is very feature rich and complex.
But CompressX has a breath of fresh air simple design that is just a drag and drop interface. It’s very effective and it shows how much space was saved which is very useful. Very recently the creator has also added transparent video support.
