We built Redaction because DSAR and FOI response packs were eating days of manual work: finding every name, address, and account detail across hundreds of pages, then blacking them out one by one. This automates the detection, keeps you in control of what actually gets redacted, and hands back a single consolidated PDF. A human always reviews before anything is released. Questions welcome!
Handled a stack of 12 FOI PDFs in under an hour and the layered detection caught an IBAN I would have definitely missed on a skim. Having the human review step baked into the flow gives me enough confidence to hand it off to legal without a second pass.
dealing with FOI requests usually eats half my week, but the configurable categories were honestly a nice touch. just toggled off the ones we never redact and the detection ran way faster than i expected
One thing that would help our team a lot is adding redaction presets for common regulations like GDPR Article 15 or FOIA exemptions, so we can apply the right rule set without rebuilding categories from scratch every time.
