I am a Software Engineer in a regulated industry, and I also work on my own side projects. Living in the EU, GDPR is an important law to abide with, and as I was working on a side project with a few colleagues, I was searching for something that will help me keep track of DSARs, data breaches, DPIAs, Article 30 processing activities, vendor/processor agreements and review and renewal dates, but in a way that it will not be a whole mess in a huge spreadsheet.
There were only two options out there: Static checklists, that mentioned some things to keep track of and very expensive software. Literally nothing in between.
So I went ahead and build ComplyLite, that keeps track of everything I wanted, to make sure we don't violate the law as an upcoming startup, without breaking the bank, and having everything in a central dashboard. I decided to launch it as a product mainly to help other SMEs and solo devs who were looking for the same thing as me. Has lifetime updates and I record every update's content in the product description. I am also open on desired improvements.
