Discuss and debate anything without switching tabs. Comment Section docks cleanly alongside your browser to bring real-time, Reddit-style community threads to every URL on the web. (And yes, you can finally comment on Apple's YouTube videos!)
Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m Niraj, the maker of Comment Section.
💡 Why I built this:
Have you ever watched a major tech keynote on YouTube only to see "Comments are turned off for this video"? Or read a sponsored review, news piece, or documentation page and wished you could discuss the real truth with other readers?
Over the years, the web has become increasingly sanitized. Brands and platforms disable comments to control the narrative, leaving internet users with no place for open, authentic discussion right where the content lives.
I built Comment Section to bring an open, universal discussion layer to the entire internet.
🌐 What it does:
Whenever you browse the web in Chrome:
• Instant Side Panel: Open the native Chrome Side Panel (or press Cmd+Shift+C / Ctrl+Shift+C).
• Live URL Threads: A real-time discussion thread opens automatically for the exact page you are viewing.
• Reddit-Style Nested Replies: Upvote, downvote, and engage in threaded conversations with other readers across the globe.
• Zero Website Clutter: Docks cleanly beside your active tab without modifying or breaking host page layouts.
• Privacy-First: We never track browsing history or sell user data.
🚀 Works everywhere:
Whether you are on a locked YouTube video, a new OpenAI blog post, a product page on an e-commerce store, or an indie blog — every single link on the internet now has a community.
🙏 I’d love your feedback!
This is our v1 launch, and I’m actively building the roadmap. I’d love to know:
1. Which websites do you wish had active comments?
2. What should we add next? (e.g. Domain-wide lounge chats, rich Markdown / GIF support, or community badges?)
Thank you for checking it out! I’ll be here all day answering questions and chatting. Drop your thoughts below! 💬🔥

Who hunted Comment Section?
Comment Section was hunted by Niraj Patidar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
