Command Vault
The local-first command library for IT professionals
Command Vault is a local-first Windows command library for IT professionals. Organize, search, reuse, back up, and extend PowerShell, Cisco IOS, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Linux, and MongoDB commands.
Hi Product Hunt — I built Command Vault because I kept running into the same problem in IT work: useful commands end up scattered across scripts, text files, ticket notes, shell history, bookmarks, database tabs, and old project folders.
Command Vault gives those commands one consistent home on Windows.
The core idea is simple: save the command together with the context that makes it reusable — platform, language, category, tags, description, favorites, notes, templates, and usage history.
It is local-first, with the command library stored on your own computer using SQLite.
Current coverage includes:
• PowerShell
• Cisco IOS
• SQL Server
• PostgreSQL
• Linux
• MongoDB
There is a free Community edition, Pro Annual and Lifetime options, plus specialist command packs and a 582-command Ultimate IT Administrator pack.
I’m especially interested in feedback from system administrators, DBAs, network administrators, IT consultants, homelab users, and anyone who maintains their own collection of operational commands.
I’d love to hear how you currently organize your command references and what would make Command Vault more useful in your workflow.
