Hello Product Hunters! My name is Vito. I have been collecting comic books for a good portion of my life. I can remember back to the good 'ol days where we picked up Comic Book Price Guides and scribbled down valuations in pencil to determine what our stacks were worth. Now that I'm... well ... old. I have a collection that my kids are interested in, but know nothing about. I tried getting the big books graded so they know which ones are of value. But, that's expensive. And it seems to be getting more expensive. Then I looked for apps to help them with my long boxes and I noticed there is really nothing in market that offers end-to-end collection management. I shouldn't have to keep a spreadsheet, visit multiple websites, check eBay sales data and then pull out a Ouija Board in order to figure out what is going on with a book in my collection in 2026. Moreso, if I'm on the floor of a Con and I see a book I'm interested in, I shouldn't need to stand around for 10 minutes to determine if the price is fair. So, I built ComiCollector to provide streamlined access to everything a collector needs to catalogue, track, assess and manage a collection from the palm of their hand. No more scattered tools. The App is not like anything else on the market. It uses statistical analysis and leans on live market data to determine assessed prices. It has a robust backend infrastructure that employs caches for recent searches, allowing those results to be served to other users looking for info. on the same book (it gets faster as more people use it). Built in eBay integration allows you to manage your collection with one click (you need be a verified seller on eBay first - those are their rules) and we will even provide suggested text for your listing so it's truly one-click listing when connected. We have a built in Market Insight engine, that doesn't just toss numbers at you, it provides a narrative about the market for that book, why it's sought after and any additional tidbits the Market Oracle may think are relevant. There's so much more. Most importantly, this isn't AI slop. Others have tried to release apps that do some of what ComiCollector does by tossing it all to Gemini or GPT or another LLM, putting a bow on it and calling it done. We tested that approach early... it doesn't work. Instead, ComiCollector leverages AI when it needs it and couples that with a deterministic system, a database of 120,000 books (and growing. New data partnerships are forming as we speak) and a model that is built to scale (for those interested we're Kubernetes ready and if we hit significant user volumes deploying to AWS can be done overnight).
