We built Color Hunt because I noticed something: some of us already stop for the color of a door, a stranger's jacket, a bus seat — we just never had anywhere to bring that instinct together.
So that's Color Hunt: you get a color, you go find it in the real world, and what you collect becomes a designed collage worth keeping — not just another photo in your camera roll.
A few things I cared about while building it:
🎨 Color of the Week — one color, same for everyone, changes weekly. The whole community hunting the same thing at once.
👥 Group hunt — my favorite part. Everyone secretly gets a different color from the same palette, hunts separately, then reveals together. Same palette, completely different worlds.
🚫 No leaderboard, no streaks, no score — I didn't want to turn something calm into something you compete at.
🔒 Privacy by default — raw photos never leave your phone. Only a finished collage goes anywhere, and only if you choose to share it.

🎨 Hey Product Hunt, I'm Burakcan, one of the two people who made this 👋
Today we're finally launching Color Hunt, and I wanted to write this one myself instead of the usual brand post.
Here's what we actually aimed for: we didn't want to build another app that gamifies your day with points and streaks. We wanted to build something that makes you feel like a kid again — that little jolt when you spot the exact color you were looking for in a completely random place. That feeling of presence, of actually looking at the world instead of scrolling past it 🌍✨
And honestly, the best version of that feeling happens with friends. That's why group hunt exists — everyone secretly gets a different color from the same palette, you all go hunt separately, then reveal your collages together at the end 🤯 Nothing beats watching four completely different worlds come from the exact same color. If you try one thing today, try that with a friend.
