Hi Product Hunt
I'm Andrew, the solo dev behind Coffer.
I built this because I kept getting lost in long AI chats. You're 40 messages deep into a Claude conversation and realize the answer you actually needed was somewhere near the beginning. Scrolling back is painful, and the built-in bookmark tools only save whole conversations not the one response you cared about.
The first version tried to save entire chats. I quickly realized that wasn't the problem, the problem was finding the one good answer later. So I pivoted: Coffer adds a save button to every individual AI response on Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Saved snippets land in a local searchable vault. Tag them, search across all three platforms, and the markdown formatting stays intact (code blocks, tables, lists all render cleanly).
A few things worth mentioning:
Everything is local. Zero network calls. No account, no signup, no telemetry.
Free. No paid tier, no "pro" upsell planned right now.
Cross-platform search. Find that one Claude explanation next to a ChatGPT snippet and a Gemini summary in one place.
This is my first solo project shipped end-to-end, and the feedback I've gotten so far has shaped almost every feature. I'd genuinely love to hear:
What would make you actually use this daily?
What's the dumbest thing about the current UX?
Are there other AI tools you'd want this to support?
Thanks for taking a look! happy to answer anything in the comments.

Who hunted Coffer?
Coffer was hunted by Andrew Talley. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
