Coddy teaches you to code with short, interactive lessons you actually finish. 20+ languages (Python, JS, C++, SQL, Rust, Go...), a real code editor in the browser with test cases, streaks, weekly leagues and Bugsy - an AI tutor that gives hints, not answers. Everything is free with a daily limit, on web, iOS and Android. 5M+ learners so far. Product Hunt visitors get 50% off any plan for 72h, applied automatically.
Hey PH, Barak here, one of the 3 founders of Coddy.
Ok so the honest backstory: none of us enjoyed how we learned to code. Long lectures, thick books, and that feeling of "I did the tutorial and I still cant write anything on my own". At the same time everyone around us was doing 5 minutes of Duolingo a day and actually sticking with it. So in 2023 we tried to make that for coding. A few minutes a day, you type real code from the very first lesson, and a streak so you come back tomorrow.
It kind of worked. Today Coddy has 5M+ learners, 20+ languages (Python, JS, C++, SQL, Rust, even Assembly and Verilog for the brave), 100+ courses, and people submit over 100K pieces of code a day on it.
Stuff I'd actually point you to:
- Bugsy, our AI tutor. Ask it why your code fails and it explains and nudges you, it wont paste the solution. Its on the free plan too (with a daily limit)
- The mobile apps - 4.9 on the App Store, 4.8 on Google Play. A lot of people do their Python on the bus now, which still makes me smile
- Certificates you can actually verify, so they mean something on a CV
- Everything is free to use, free accounts just have a daily energy limit. Premium removes it
For PH we set 50% off any plan. It's applied automatically when you come from our launch page, valid 72 hours after you sign up. No code to remember.
Two things I'd love to hear from you: what language or topic should we add next? And if you tried learning to code before and gave up - what made you stop? That's the stuff we obsess over.
I'll be here all day, ask me anything.
Nice! Contrary to what you hear in the hype cycle, coding isn't going away. Maybe the physical act of typing code but understanding what you are doing will stick around for quite a while. Having a neat tool that helps you learn is a good thing in my opinion!
Love this! What a fun way of learning to code while having a community of coders alongside you 🙂 Congrats on the launch!
Hi all, I like your approach to learning how to code by small increments. A couple of questions:
1) how do you determine the coding challenges? Have you all looked into "coding katas" that was popular many years ago?
2) what's the progression? Are you going for mastery of the language itself, or is there some sort of choose your own adventure, where the user can choose to learn to code to achieve a specific goal, like shipping a website or mobile app?
@barakglanz@ntnlbar Nice launch guys. Bugsy refusing to just dump the answer is probably one of the better ways to use ai in coding education. Otherwise you’re just getting really good at copying code you don’t understand.
In the era of vibe coding, it’s honestly refreshing to see products like this
The AI tutor feature sounds interesting — how does it handle it when someone gets stuck?
Also Codd(y) is such a cute name haha
Big congratulations to the whole team on the launch! Excited to see how many people end up learning to code with it.
It's a great product. My daughter is using it to learn C# and is very happy with it.

Who hunted Coddy?
Coddy was hunted by Barak Glanz. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
