I launched Clove here in August. It remembered things. That was it — and
honestly, a memory that never does anything is just a filing cabinet you
can talk to.
So this launch is the other half. Clove now tracks what you've told people
you'd do, and nudges you before it's due. You never make a list and you
never set a reminder. You say "I told Meera I'd send the deck by Thursday"
and it handles both.
The part I got wrong first: I treated deadlines like appointments. Tell it
"doctor's at 6" and a 5:30 nudge is right — you only need time to get
there. Tell it "deck by Thursday" and a Thursday-morning nudge is useless,
because the lead has to cover doing the work, not travelling to it. It
nudges you Wednesday evening now. Obvious in hindsight. Took watching it
get it wrong to see.
One rule I've held the whole way: no checkboxes, no buttons, no tap
targets anywhere. You create, change and close things by talking. A friend
can hand you a beautifully written note — they don't hand you a note with
checkboxes on it.
Would love to know where it falls over for you. Especially if you're
