Cloak Proxy is a native, notarized macOS HTTPS debugging proxy, with a Linux beta. Decrypt traffic per app or host, then pause, edit, mock or fail any request with 12 tools, including Breakpoint, Map Local and Scripting. Also inside: a full API client, an LLM Inspector for token costs, an authorization matrix for IDOR testing, and an MCP server with 131 tools for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Free for life: no account, no paid tier, no telemetry. Made by Subcloak, a security testing company.

Hi Product Hunt, We're the Subcloak team. We test the security of web apps, APIs and AI agents for a living, so a debugging proxy is always open on our screens. The proxies we liked kept the features we lean on most, like breakpoints, Map Local, scripting and HAR export, behind a licence. So we built our own for our own testing, and we're giving it away. What's inside: • HTTPS decryption per app or host, and a Doctor that explains why an app's traffic isn't showing or a site refuses it • 12 debugging tools: Breakpoint, Map Local, Map Remote, Rewrite, Scripting, Network Conditions and more • A built-in API client with collections, environments, tests and .http files, across 11 protocols • LLM Inspector: tokens, estimated cost, time to first token and prompt-cache misses for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and Ollama calls • Authorization Matrix: replay captured traffic as another user to find IDORs • An MCP server with 131 tools, so Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can read traffic and set up mocks, with secrets redacted before they reach the model It's free for life: no account, no trial, no telemetry. Your traffic stays on your computer. New in 0.4.2: it's signed and notarized by Apple (or `brew install --cask subcloak/tap/cloak-proxy`), and Google, Microsoft, Apple and Okta sign-ins and Cloudflare-protected sites keep working while it runs: sign-in pages are never decrypted, pausing leaves traffic alone, and the Doctor explains any bot check it trips. Honest caveats: Linux is a beta, there's no Windows version yet, and the source isn't public. What we'd love to hear: what keeps you on your current proxy, anything that broke during setup, and which jobs you'd hand to an agent over MCP. Security testing pays for all this. If you ever want another pair of eyes on an API or MCP server, you know where to find us. Mostly, we hope it saves you a few hours.
