Cloak
Redact IDs and shrink PDFs, entirely on your iPhone
Cloak scans or imports your documents/photos, auto-detects text so you can redact sensitive info in a tap, then compresses and exports as JPEG or PDF. Built it after getting tired of manually blurring my own ID for visa/KYC paperwork. Everything processes on-device, nothing uploaded anywhere. Free. Would love feedback from this community.
Hey Product Hunt!
Maker here. I built Cloak after getting tired of manually blurring my
own passport number and other sensitive info every time I had to
submit a scanned document: visa paperwork, KYC forms, sharing IDs,
you name it.
Doing it by hand in Photos or some random editor every single time was a pain, so I built the tool I wanted.
What it does:
• Scan a document or import photos/PDFs/files with support for PDF up to 50 pages
• Auto-detects text so you can redact sensitive info in a tap
• Manual draw/crop/mask tools for anything it misses
• Compress and export as JPEG or PDF, pick your output size
• Everything runs on-device, nothing ever gets uploaded anywhere
It's free and ad-supported, no subscription. just added PDF
password protection.
Would genuinely love this community's feedback — what's missing,
what's confusing, what you'd want next. I'm around all day to answer
questions and take requests.
