Cliptate is a free, open-source macOS workspace for audio and video creators. Hi Product Hunt! I built Cliptate to bring transcription, dictation, editing, and voice synthesis into one native Mac workflow. Speech models run locally on Apple Silicon, so creators can work with their audio without uploading it to a speech service.
You can transcribe recordings, trim pauses, identify speakers, generate captions, and create voices with on-device TTS. Export subtitles or an FCPXML timeline to continue editing in your favorite tools.
Cliptate is MIT-licensed, and the direct-download version is free with all features unlocked. I'd love to hear which part of your audio or video workflow you'd like Cliptate to make easier. Feedback and contributions are welcome on GitHub!
