Hey everyone, I'm Eduardo, the developer behind ClipMason.
I've used clipboard managers on my Mac for years and they all did the same thing: save what you copy, hand it back later. Useful, but it always stopped short. Every time I pasted something I still had to open another app to actually do something with it. Format a minified JSON. Rewrite a variable in snake_case. Run OCR on a screenshot. The history was never the problem. The round trip to a second app was.
So I built ClipMason around that. When you copy something it works out what it is (text, rich text, image, URL, color, file) and puts the useful actions right next to the clip. 23 text actions, 14 image tools with OCR built on Apple's Vision framework, plus Smart Tags, Collections, Snippets and a Paste Stack for filling forms in one pass.
The part I care about most is privacy. A clipboard manager sees everything you copy, so ClipMason keeps everything local, makes zero network requests, ships no analytics, runs in the App Store sandbox, and respects the concealed flag password managers set, so your passwords never get stored.
One honest tradeoff: since it doesn't touch the Accessibility API, it can't auto paste into whatever app is in front of you. You press the shortcut, it drops the clip on your clipboard, and you paste. Felt like a fair price for not asking permissions an app like this shouldn't need.
