ClipForge is an AI-powered clip extraction engine built for YouTubers who want short-form content without the editing grind. Paste any YouTube URL. ClipForge downloads the video, transcribes every word, and uses AI to find the moments most likely to go viral — tension shifts, emotional peaks, confessions, quotable lines. It then cuts each clip, auto-crops to 9:16, and burns TikTok-style karaoke captions directly into the video.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built ClipForge because I needed it myself. I was running my own YouTube channel and spending hours manually finding the best moments, cropping to 9:16, adding captions — rinse and repeat for every video.
Opus Clip existed but the per-minute pricing adds up fast. So I built my own pipeline.
ClipForge does the full job in one shot: paste a YouTube URL → AI finds the most viral moments → crops to 9:16 → burns word-by-word karaoke captions → scores each clip 1–10 and tells you why it'll perform.
Two ways to use it:
Hosted (free + pro) — just sign up and go
Self-hosted — fully open source, runs on Oracle Cloud's free tier
Would love feedback from early users. What would make this a no-brainer for your workflow?
