I built Client SQL after running into this problem firsthand as a tech lead at Samora AI (YC W26). Giving teammates and coding agents the right PostgreSQL access was harder than it should have been. Broad credentials felt risky, while manually managing permissions, write reviews, migrations, audit records, and revocation was slow and easy to get wrong.
I started Client SQL to solve that problem for my own team. It has grown into a workspace where teams can give people and coding clients scoped access, review exact SQL before writes, manage Liquibase migrations, trace activity, and revoke access when needed.
The goal is simple: help developers move quickly without handing everyone the keys to the database. I built this from the workflow I wanted at work. I would love feedback from tech leads, platform engineers, and teams using coding agents. What would make database access easier for your team?
