Clicker: TV Remote
The TV remote app that doesn't sell your living room
Turn your iPhone into a remote for Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense and Vizio. Full D-pad, volume, playback and a real keyboard for typing into search boxes. No ads. No weekly subscription. No tracking. Pro is a one-time $9.99 if you want it.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Clicker because I lost my TV remote behind a couch cushion and went to the App Store for a replacement. What I found is one of the worst neighborhoods on the store: a full-screen ad between volume-up and volume-down. A $9.99-a-week subscription to press a power button. A dozen apps with the same stock icon and the same 3-day trial that quietly auto-converts.
These are a few hundred lines of local network code being rented out at $500 a year.
So Clicker is the version I wanted to exist.
The free tier is the whole remote. Power, volume, mute, D-pad, OK, back, home, menu, playback - plus a real iOS keyboard, so you can type "Severance" into a search box instead of thumb-walking an on-screen letter grid one arrow at a time. It pairs once and remembers your TV. No ads, ever. No account.
Works with Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense and Vizio over Wi-Fi. Nothing is collected — commands go phone → TV on your local network, no analytics SDK, no server of mine in the path. There's a $9.99 one-time Pro tier for shortcuts, widgets, casting and voice search, but the free remote is complete and stays that way.
Two things I'd love from you:
1. Which TV brand are you on, and did pairing just work?
2. What's missing from the free tier that you think belongs there?
