Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm James, and I built Clear Cortex because I got tired of being my AI's memory.
Every chat started the same way: re-upload the files, re-paste the context, re-explain the project — and when the thread ended, all of it was gone. Meanwhile the models kept getting better. The bottleneck stopped being the AI and became the interface: a single thread that forgets you.
So I flipped it. Clear Cortex is a canvas where your work stays out — like a desk. Drop in PDFs, spreadsheets, notes, images and audio. finally something that doesn't make me jump between chat tabs and pdf readers, dropped in a report and the citations to specific pages actually worked. really curious how it handles bigger workspaces
Love the canvas approach, having citations tied to exact pages is huge for research work. One thing that would make it stickier for me: a way to set persistent custom instructions per workspace or even per file, so the AI remembers my preferred formatting and assumptions without me restating them every chat.
