I’m Caroline, an accountant living in Ireland — and definitely not a developer.
At the beginning of the year, I gave myself two slightly random challenges: build some raised beds and grow my own vegetables, and see whether I could use AI to actually build and ship a Mac app.
The vegetables are growing, and CleanKeys is the result of the other one. 😊
The idea came from a tiny annoyance I had with my MacBook: I just wanted to clean the keyboard without waking the Mac, typing nonsense or triggering shortcuts. So I built the simple cleaning mode I wished macOS had.
Getting from that idea to a real app people can download has been a pretty amazing learning experience.
