Hi there hunter!
My desktop was always a mess: dozens of icons and a pile of open windows, and I wanted a clean screen without closing anything or sorting files.
So I built Clean Desk. It's a small floating orb for Windows. One click and your whole workspace gets pulled into it with a real Genie animation (your actual windows bend into the orb, not a fade). Click again and everything pours back out, exactly as it was: same size, position, monitor and stacking order.
A few things I cared about:
Nothing is touched: files never leave your Desktop folder, and apps are only minimized, never closed.
You choose what goes in: everything, desktop icons only, or keep your browser, music or chat on screen.
Safe: if anything ever goes wrong, a guardian process restores your desktop automatically.
Light: no admin rights, no telemetry, about 1 MB, and it starts within seconds of signing in.
Launch pricing: a one-time lifetime license, $29.99 for the first 1,000 customers (then $39.99). No subscription, and a free 14-day trial with everything included.
I'd love your feedback, especially on the animation and anything that feels off on your setup. Thanks for checking it out!
