Since discovering Claude-instant a month ago, I truly believe Claude2 has everything necessary not only to be a mere competitor to ChatGPT but even a better tool in terms of functionality, speed, and most importantly safety & security.

Congrats on the launch; the input limit looks great. What was the most annoying part you had to develop on the AI side of things?
Is there an available API not a waitlist yet? I know folks who have gotten GPT-4 32K access on different emails, yet haven’t received an email back from Anthropic for months on end. The Claude models are definitely a step-up when dealing with literature; though the moderation seems to be getting worse than OpenAI’s heavy guidelines that effectively block-in thinking styles. Hopes sit with the idea that commercial innovation of this year will be open-source of next year if not sooner.
As someone using LLMs in production, I am really excited to try this out. More viable options mean a healthier ecosystem.

- Apart from the increased context length, are there other high-level differences that set this apart from ChatGPT/GPT-4 and similar models?
- Increase in context length can lead to increase in inference time and based on my experience, output quality. How should someone think about working with Claude 2's large context window then?
