Citrus is an AI-powered food scoring app. Snap a photo and get a clear 1-10 score, nutrient breakdown, and practical guidance — no complicated tracking.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Citrus because every food app I tried turned eating into homework.
Open MyFitnessPal, search "grilled chicken," pick a database entry, type 150g, log it, repeat for the rice, the salad, the olive oil. Five minutes per meal. By day three I quit. Every time.
The thing is — I didn't actually want a calorie spreadsheet. I just wanted to know: is what I'm about to eat a good idea or not?
So I built Citrus around that single question. Take a photo. Get a score from 1 to 10. That's it. No logging, no databases, no streaks to break. If you want to go deeper, you tap "Ask Citrus" and chat about the meal. If you don't, you close the app and eat.
A few things I'd love feedback on:
- Does the 1–10 score feel useful, or too vague?
- Is "Ask Citrus" something you'd actually use, or just a checkbox?
- What's missing that would make you keep it past day 3?

Who hunted Citrus?
Citrus was hunted by Levi Rodrigues. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
