Your watchlist grows faster than you watch it. Cinephilers picks one film from it every day — not an algorithm's guess, but a film you already chose — so you start watching instead of scrolling. Everything else you'd expect from a tracker is there: films and series with episode-level progress, ratings, reviews, a diary with rewatches, lists, friends and stats. Stats are free, and a title's score becomes the community's own once five members have rated it.
Hi Product Hunt
I built Cinephilers because I kept doing the same thing every night: opening a streaming app, scrolling for forty minutes, watching nothing, going to bed.
The problem was never finding films. I had two hundred saved already. The problem was choosing.
So Cinephilers picks one for you every day, from your own watchlist. Not an algorithm's guess at what you'd like — a film you already decided you wanted to see. Take it or leave it; tomorrow there's another.
The rest is what you'd expect from a tracker: films and series with episode-level progress, ratings, reviews, lists, a diary that handles rewatches, badges, and friends. Two things I'd point out. The score on a title becomes the community's own once five members have rated it, instead of mirroring an imported number forever. And the stats page tells you how much of your life you've spent watching, which is either motivating or alarming.
I'm a solo developer and this is my first real project. It's free and there are no ads. I'd genuinely rather hear what's broken than what's nice.
