CineLog
Film pre-production: shot lists, storyboards, call sheets
CineLog is a pre-production software for directors, DPs, and producers. It combines shot listing, storyboarding, script editing, cast & crew, and call sheets into one workspace, built by a working director and a software architect. Available on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. Offline-capable: keeps working on set when WiFi doesn't. Whole-crew invitations included. No per-seat charges. Free during Early Access through June 15, 2026.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Ivan, a software architect, and together with my co-founder Olexiy (a film director), we’re thrilled to launch CineLog.
We built CineLog because most modern pre-production tools fail where filmmakers need them most: on set. You shoot in basements, deserts, and stone-walled buildings where cloud-reliant web apps die.
So, we engineered a complete pre-production suite built from the ground up to be local-first. Your data lives natively on your device first and foremost, syncing seamlessly the moment you catch a signal.
Here is everything CineLog handles to keep your production moving:
Live Collaboration & True Offline Reliability: Real-time syncing across your entire team when you have a signal, and seamless, uninterrupted work with no loading spinners when the internet inevitably drops.
Shot Lists & Storyboarding: Build comprehensive, highly organized shot lists and visually map out your scenes to align the director and DP's vision before stepping on set.
Cast & Crew Management: Keep your entire team organized in one central hub, effortlessly managing roles and contact details.
Dynamic Call Sheets: Create clear, accurate call sheets and distribute them directly to your crew's inboxes.
Cross-Platform Sync: Designed to feel native whether you're planning on a Mac or Windows PC, adjusting on an iPad, or checking a shot on your iPhone or Android.
If you are a filmmaker, we would love to hear how this fits into your workflow. If you are a developer, feel free to ask any technical questions about our local-first implementation or cross-platform UI.
We’ll be hanging out in the thread all day—let us know what you think! 🚀
Hey y'all! I’m Olexiy, the film director half of CineLog.
Ivan just walked you through the technical side, so I want to tell you a little bit of how CineLog actually works on set.
I’ve been directing for the past six years, and last month I put CineLog to the ultimate test: my first feature film. We had a cast and crew of around 25 people.
Before CineLog, I was juggling Google Docs and Excel for shot lists, storyboards, and call sheets. Every shoot meant a new setup, new links, and new organization workflow. With CineLog, everything lives in one place with a cohesive style, and it all talks to each other. When my 1st AD changed something on the call sheet, it updated instantly on my end. The whole crew was able to pull up shot lists, storyboards, and call sheets on their phones, tablets, and laptops. I sent call sheets to everyone with a personalized message and tracked confirmations right in the app.
Finally, I had a tool that was simple, slick, and easy to use, where every feature connected without bloat.
Ivan is in the thread to answer the technical questions. I’m here to talk workflows, on-set use, and how to keep a 25-person crew on the same page. Ask away!

Who hunted CineLog?
CineLog was hunted by Ivan Shcherbina. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
