Hey Product Hunt! 👋
After years of working with Ruby on Rails applications, one problem kept showing up: production issues were often discovered only after they had already affected users.
And when something went wrong, understanding the real cause usually meant jumping between exception trackers, logs, database information, background jobs and other monitoring tools.
That frustration became the starting point for Chronos.
I wanted to build an observability platform that feels natural for Rails developers — something you can connect to an application quickly and use to understand not only that something failed, but what was happening around it.
With Chronos, you can monitor errors, performance, database queries, background jobs, HTTP requests, cache activity and deployments in one place.
The integration happens through the `chronos-ruby` gem, and one of my main goals has been keeping the setup and developer experience as simple as possible.
Chronos is still evolving, and this launch is an important step in that journey.
I’d love to hear from other Ruby and Rails developers:
What is the most frustrating part of monitoring your applications in production today?
Thanks for checking out Chronos! 💜
