I’m Roen, the creator of SmartTasks. I’ve been frustrated by the dichotomy in the AI space: you either get 'convenient' AI that treats your browsing data like a product, or you get 'private' tools that feel like they're missing the power you actually need.
I built SmartTasks Smart Web Assistant Chrome Extension to bridge that gap.
I wanted a tool that is Free Forever and built on Sovereign Intelligence. This means you don't just 'use' the AI—you configure it. You can run it entirely locally on your own machine for total data privacy, or choose to tap into cloud models when a task requires more power. You decide, and you configure that choice.
We don't default to sending your data anywhere. The 'intelligence' is local-first, and any cloud interaction is an active choice you make.
