I’ve always found the gap between choosing a great brand colour and turning it into a proper design system surprisingly frustrating.
A single colour can lead to hours of manually creating shades, checking contrast ratios, figuring out dark mode, defining semantic tokens, and then translating everything into code.
I wanted to make that process much simpler.
So I built ChromaBrew around a simple idea: what if you could start with one colour and get a complete, accessible, production-ready design system from it?
It started as a tool I wanted for myself, but grew into something I thought other designers and frontend developers could benefit from too.
ChromaBrew is my attempt to make the boring, repetitive parts of building colour systems faster — while keeping accessibility and developer workflows in the picture from the beginning.
And I wanted it to be genuinely useful without putting a paywall or signup in the way, so ChromaBrew is free to use, directly in the browser.
