I built Chimlo to remove one annoying part of working with coding agents: checking several terminal windows to see what is running, finished, or waiting for you.
Chimlo moves that loop into the MacBook notch. You can follow Codex and Claude Code sessions, answer Claude’s questions, review permission requests, check provider usage, and reopen completed work.
It is a native macOS app, free and open source, with no telemetry by default. This is the first public release, so I’d love feedback from people who already use coding agents every day.
Answering permission requests straight from the notch is the feature I'd actually use daily. That's the one part of running Claude Code or Codex that always pulls me out of flow, since I have to alt tab back to a terminal just to approve something small. Does Chimlo show enough context in that notch view to make an informed call, or is it more of a quick approve or deny without seeing what the agent is asking to do.
So how does it tracks multiple sessions at once. If I've got Codex running on one project and Claude Code on another at the same time, does the notch cleanly separate them, or does it start to feel cluttered once you're juggling three or four agents
