AI will change many things but the thing that it will not is people’s desire to have optionality when it comes to online purchases. With the advent of AI, we believe Chestr will become a major tool for product discovery. Nothing is more predictive of your taste in products — clothing, furniture, books, gadgets — than the things you already like and have purchased.
By integrating AI with our product, we will give you the best product recommendations while helping small brands and producers who don’t necessarily have the best SEO-optimized stores or come up on top of Google or Amazon searches. Our first AI features will be 1) screenshots as a means of saving items, and 2) enhancing product recommendations based on the items you have already saved.
By ever perfecting our recommendation algorithm, we want Chestr to become your own personal storefront of the things you like, a reflection of your tastes and preferences, and another facet of your social persona (which you can share with the world or not).

Favorite thing about scrolling through social media is seeing all the curated shopping lists of things I want and need. The only downside is that social media is annoying af. One of my favorite features is restock notifications and understanding those trends. I think it would be really great to see how seasonality works for a lot of these brands (and when the best time to buy would be).
I'd also love to get recommendations for alternates to items that are just incredible overpriced or out of stock, that are a pretty solid replacement!
