I built Chessmate because opening study kept feeling weirdly broken to me. I could find plenty of courses and lines, but remembering them during an actual game was a different story.
Chessmate is my attempt to make opening practice feel more like training. You go through curated lines one move at a time, get feedback when you miss something, and review the positions that need another pass.
It is mainly for players who already play online and know that feeling of getting out of book early, then wondering what they were supposed to do.
I would love feedback on the training flow, the onboarding, and which openings would be most useful to add next.

The spaced repetition approach for weak spots is such a smart call. Most opening tools just throw lines at you and call it practice, so actually revisiting the moves you keep flubbing feels way more honest.
Does the spaced repetition adapt based on how well I recall the moves in actual games, or is it just based on my practice performance inside the app?
