Hi PH. Every "best AI companion app" list I could find was written after about twenty minutes with a free trial. That is long enough to learn nothing. The interesting failures all happen later. Memory does not break, it degrades - day one it holds everything, around day four it starts merging separate conversations, by day ten the persona has drifted into something generic. You only see that after a week of real use. Pricing is the same story: a $10/month app is $30 in a month you actually use it, because chat is cheap and images eat credits. So every app here gets used properly for at least two weeks, and gets ranked four separate ways - chat, value, image and video, overall experience - because the app with the best conversation is almost never the app with the best images. It is adults-only content, so fair warning before you click. Happy to answer anything about the testing, and genuinely open to requests - if there is an app you want put through it, say so below.
