Chem Citation Tools is a free chemistry-focused citation toolkit for ACS references. It supports journal articles, patents, DOI-based sources, websites, books, preprints, in-text citations, local reference lists, and RTF, TXT, BibTeX, and RIS exports.
I built Chem Citation Tools because chemistry citations are more specific than generic citation formats. ACS references often need journal abbreviations, patent fields, DOI links, and numbered in-text citation styles.
The tool is free, browser-based, and focused on practical chemistry writing workflows: DOI lookup, patents, reference lists, in-text citations, and exports to RTF, TXT, BibTeX, and RIS.
