I've been a big fan of Letterboxd for years. Giving film fans a quick way to share their opinions and favourites with friends, whilst also helping them discover films they'd never have found otherwise, has made for a genuinely great community. I really wanted that for games.
I tried some existing options, but struggled with them either not having apps, lacking features and users, or just generally being buggy.
I was laid off from my job last summer, and took that time to start Checkpnt. I launched the web app in February and have just released the iOS and Android apps this week.
I set out to build something with a good level of polish, with the features people want (Steam import, mobile apps, Discord bot functionality), primarily for myself and my friends, but we've grown to a community of 100 already!
It's a one-person project, so I'd genuinely like to hear what's missing or what you'd change. And if you enjoy it, share it with friends: the more people on the platform, the better it gets.
