Most home screens are designed to pull you in: grids of colorful icons, red badges, everything competing for attention. I wanted the opposite: a home screen that's calm by default and gets out of the way.
So Char puts your apps in one quiet list. The app in the center is big and clear, everything else fades back. From there it grew into:
• Pages for different parts of your day, which can switch on their own (Work from 9 to 5)
• Focus hours that keep chosen apps off your pages, while they stay a search away
• "Your week", which quietly shows how often you open each app from Char
• A news feed that learns what you like, all on your phone
Privacy was a rule from day one: no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no servers of mine. Your setup stays on your phone.
