ChannelFence adds a persistent creator block list to YouTube. Block via menus, beside creator names, or by handle. Matching videos, shorts, recommendations, and comments disappear across supported surfaces. Free and open source; your list stays in chrome.
I built ChannelFence because YouTube's "Don't recommend channel" is recommendation feedback, not a block list I can inspect and manage. ChannelFence keeps an explicit list in Chrome's local extension storage and applies it across supported YouTube surfaces. Its only named Chrome permission is storage, it runs only on YouTube, and it has no analytics or external server. The source and Playwright tests are public. I would especially appreciate reports of YouTube surfaces where a blocked creator still slips through.

Who hunted ChannelFence?
ChannelFence was hunted by Sha Adkins. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
