LinkedIn wants you to apply for jobs. Reddit doesn't even know your name. Chamberzz is different. Your profile is your home base. Your Chamber is your community. Your contributions build your reputation. And when people trust you, they buy from you. It's not social media. It's a place to build.
I love social media; I love how it exposes you to so much of the world through digital documents, photos, text, and videos. From my extensive use of social media and digital technology I found myself thinking "I wish I could do x, y, z."
I did not like how I felt like a commodity on Facebook and how Facebook is an address book connecting you with people you already know rather than quality new connections.
I did not like how Reddit was not used by a majority of the population; and I did not like the stereotypes applied to Reddit users.
I did not like how LinkedIn became the Facebook for the work place. I agree with r/LinkedInLunatics.
I wanted to create a website that allowed me:
1. to professionally present myself to the world/internet.
2. to control the information I share with internet contacts.
3. to have a crowdsourced encyclopedia and newspaper.
4. to have a network of creative communities (chambers) to explore topics.
5. and more.
For an MVP (minium viable product) I think I have done a good job. I would love feedback and advice.
