I'm a PM who wanted to own every layer of a product, so I built ChaList alone. Most challenge apps let you tap "done." ChaList doesn't — every task needs a photo, and that photo stays locked until the other person finishes the same task. Then both unlock at once. Two modes: dare a friend one-on-one, or host a challenge your followers join. Hosts set an entry price in coins and earn a share of the pool, so opening a challenge is also a way to grow and get paid.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built ChaList because my friends and I keep making plans we don't keep. Gym on Monday. Diet starts tomorrow. This week we're actually doing it. Then someone cancels, someone quietly skips, someone says they went. And the honest part is that someone is usually me too. Everyone has this group. Everyone is also in it. The apps didn't help, because every one of them has a button you can just tap. You mark it done, the streak survives, nobody checks. You're keeping a promise to a checkbox. So I removed the button. In ChaList a task is only done when there's a photo of it. If I'm supposed to hold a plank, I post the plank. If lunch is supposed to be a salad, I post the salad. If the task is calling my mom instead of texting her, I post the call screen. Real things, from a real day. And the photo stays locked until the other person finishes that same task — then both open at once. You can't see what you're being compared to until you've done your own. No copying, no waiting around to see if it's worth the effort. That one rule changed the feeling completely. It stops being a to-do list and becomes something you owe someone. Two modes: dare a friend one-on-one, or host a challenge your followers join. I'd love to know if the locked-photo idea makes sense to you before you try it — that's the part I've never been sure about. Thanks for checking it out 🙏

Who hunted ChaList?

ChaList was hunted by Alican Ercan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
