CentsNote
a FREE private money tracker app for who NEEDs Privacy
CentsNote is a local-first iPhone expense tracker for fast voice logging, recurring bills, budgets, reports, multi-currency records, and private iCloud-ready backup.
I’m not a professional developer who has been experimenting with vibe coding and I finally shipped my first iOS app: CentsNote.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ce...
Why I built it:
I’ve used expense tracking apps for over 8 years. Many of them were either too complicated, full of ads, too aggressive with subscriptions, or designed around bank connections that I didn’t really want. I just wanted something clean, fast, and private.
The workflow is intentionally simple:
-Say or type a money note
- Review the AI-generated draft
- Save the record only after confirming amount, category, account, date, and memo
- Review budgets, recurring bills, and monthly reports later
A few design choices:
- Local-first by default
- Optional iCloud backup / sync
- Simple and useful
Right now it’s iOS only. Android will come later
This is my first app, so I’m mainly looking for honest feedback.
